Visit Palm Beach

With over 100 beaches surrounding Sydney, it can be hard to choose where you'd like to spend your day! One of the most unique beaches is Palm beach located on the north shore. This beach is one of the largest that overlooks a beautiful coastline.
How to get there:
The best way to get to Palm Beach is driving. It takes an hour from the CDB to drive north to Palm Beach.
Parking can be a little tricky. To avoid paying for parking, park on Beach road. There's free parking along the street. Please be respectful to the local's that live in this neighborhood!
What to do:

One of the best ways to enjoy Palm beach is to do the climb to the Barrenjoey lighthouse. Some incredible views up there! The easiest way to reach the light house is to walk along the beach until you reach some sand dunes.

The trail actually starts on the opposite side from the beach along the inside of the coastline. One you reach the entrance, make sure to take the Smuggler's Track trail. It's the fastest way to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse. The climb is only about 20 minutes but is fairly steep. Make sure to wear appropriate shoes.

Once at the top, you can wander to the back of the light house. From there, you can find trails that lead to lookouts over Palm Beach. Enjoy the view!

After your walk up to the lighthouse, enjoy your day sitting on the beach and watching the surfers! There are some cafes open for a bite to eat towards Beach Road.

A day trip to Palm Beach almost feels like you've escaped the big city of Sydney! It's a very relaxing trip and truly an escape from the city!
